Hello all. Like you, I am greatly saddened by our friend Bob’s passing. He was one of the first people in SAM who welcomed me and we became frequent flying companions at most of the events here in the United States.
Here are a few photos of Bob that I took. I will be sharing several more with you all, and also Don DeLoach, SAM Speaks editor, for possible inclusion in the magazine.
If you pass along or include any of these photos in newsletters of your own, I would appreciate the photo being attributed to me.
As I searched through my photos this morning for images of Bob, my heart was heavy, but quickly warmed as I remembered how many wonderful times we shared together flying model airplanes. I hope you all can take comfort in all the good times that you also shared with the very kind and warm Bob Galler.

Attached are some pics I took at the 2021 SAM Champs in Muncie with Bob getting his Rubber FF model ready and flying at the mass launch.
Also Bob awarding Tom Boice his Hall of Fame award.
Love the picture of the Fillon Champion. Bob and I both built one and worked together figuring out some of the building challenges that the kit presented. Sure wish we could have got pictures of the two models together. Bob was quite a prolific builder.
