I took my simple point and shoot camera (2meg. pix - 20yrs old) out to the field for some quick shots.
Have one in the distance flying.
Others are of me ( Meaghan) holding the plane and one of Jack in his chair with the plane.
Jack can fill you in on the flying/ handling of the plane.

Yes, I flew the big Andersen Pylon this morning early at the sod farm. Meaghan and Glen present and helped. Perfect weather for first flights. I made four flights. Light wind and sunny sky.
The four flights ranged from 11:34 to just under 13 minutes. I was hoping for 20-minute flights. And the take offs were rather long. 10 cell 2500 mAh Ni-Cd motor battery. Neu 1107/6D geared 6.7 with Falcon 21/14 CF prop.
I figured this power train would handle the 1520 sq. in. Andersen Pylon at the 9 pounds needed with the big Ni-Cd motor pack. After the four flights we weighed the model with batteries and to my surprised total weight was 11 pounds 6 ounces. That is a wing loading of 17.24 ounces per square foot.
At 11 pounds 6 ounces I could use a 4S2200 mAh Lipo motor pack. I wonder what kind of flight times I would get with this size Lipo? Maybe Jay can run the numbers on this change? Would it be worth it to go with this size Lipo motor battery?
It is a nice handling model. Also, glide is much better than I would have thought at that weight. Just need to get flight times to 20 minutes early mornings. If that is possible?

I can't run ECALC, my computer crashed a couple of weeks ago and the disc is toast.
I won't be able to do tasks like that until I get a new computer and just haven't been able to to do so with other stuff happening. Plus I need to get the $$ together to make the new computer.
My old computer was about 20 years old.
