1st Flight of Glen Poole's Anderson Pylon

 Folks, 

Glen flew his Anderson Pylon today.  First, I flew it and then Mike McIntyre.  Then Glen flew his new model.  Needs some adjustments but Glen is happy with this easy to fly model.  I tried a couple of flying shots but did not turn out very well.  But proof it flew today.

Diesel struggling to make power in 70% humidity

 

Day one was very hot and humid.  The local radio station reported heat indices >110°F.  Day two was a little cooler but the wind gusts were 17-20kts and only a few attempted to fly.   The camaraderie and food were excellent and those who traveled great distances were grateful the event wasn't canceled on short notice due to less the favorable weather in the forecast.  The Flying Circuits hinted that they may try again in August!   Last 25 photos courtesy of club member Dave Kern.
